Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Registered Nurse II to join our team at the California Men's Colony. As a Supervising Registered Nurse II, you will be responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area.
  • Receive, disseminate, implement, and monitor adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Apply supervisory rules and principles, resolve personnel issues, and set goals for self and others.
  • Ensure the continuity of quality patient care and actively participate in the Complete Care Model.
Requirements
  • Possession of a current license as a registered nurse in California.
  • One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Supervising Registered Nurse I, Correctional Facility.
  • Or three years of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Registered Nurse, Correctional Facility.
  • Or three years of registered nursing experience within the last five years, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, and two years of which must have been in a general acute care hospital.
