Job Summary:

The MRI Lead Technologist plays a crucial role in the success of our imaging department at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of technical personnel assigned to the MRI department, including trainings, staffing, education, and performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Imaging Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of MRI workflows, procedures, operations, and processes to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Sequence Selection: Select the most appropriate MRI pulse sequences adhering to established protocols to produce accurate and reliable results.
  • Magnetic Resonance Safety: Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Medication Administration: Identify, prepare, and administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other modalities and departments under the direction of the Radiologist to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred).
  • Licensure/Certification: Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI (required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care).
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in an MRI department (required) and 2 years of experience in an MRI department (preferred).
