Position Summary

As a Cashier within our quick-service division, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our Guests, tasked with managing their orders, processing payments, and ensuring a superior level of service. Your friendly attitude and efficiency will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall Guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Management: Accurately enter Guest orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system, confirming all details, modifications, and pricing.
  • Payment Processing: Handle cash, credit, and mobile transactions with precision, providing change and receipts as necessary.
  • Menu Familiarity: Acquire knowledge of menu items, specials, and allergen information to assist Guests effectively.
  • Exceptional Service: Deliver outstanding Guest service by welcoming Guests, addressing inquiries, and accommodating special requests.
  • Sales Enhancement: Recommend additional items or promotions to elevate the Guest's experience.
  • Order Preparation: Ensure that orders are packaged accurately and presented neatly for Guests.
  • Cash Register Oversight: Maintain the cash register, perform cash drawer counts at the start and end of shifts, and report any discrepancies.
  • Sanitation Standards: Keep the cashier area and dining space clean and organized, including waste disposal and surface cleaning.
  • Order Flow Management: Oversee the order queue to ensure timely preparation and service.
  • Assistance with Delivery: Help in delivering orders to Guests or coordinating with team members for efficient service.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a cashier role within a restaurant or customer service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in cash handling.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to operate a cash register and manage currency.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.
