Job Title: Oracle to PostgreSQL Database Migration Specialist

Location: Lakewood, CO (Hybrid)

Position: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies, leveraging AWS Database Migration Service and other tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based database solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients during the migration process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database migration and cloud computing.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, with a focus on migration and optimization.
  • Proven expertise in AWS Database Migration Service and other cloud-based migration tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with automation, Git, Gitlab, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and influence technical direction.
