We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our Equine Program at Christian Children's Home of Ohio. Key Responsibilities- Provide Equine-Assisted Mental Health Services: Facilitate mental health assessments, provide accurate diagnoses, and complete treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Facilitate Mental Health Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Submit Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including notes and paperwork, according to agency standards and requirements.
- Participate in Quality-Improvement Activities: Engage in peer review and other quality-improvement activities, such as supervision, to ensure high-quality services.
- Ensure Personal Productivity Standards: Meet personal productivity and expectation standards, ensuring timely completion of tasks and responsibilities.
- Ohio License in Social Work (LSW) or Counseling (LPC): Possess a valid Ohio license in Social Work (LSW) or Counseling (LPC), in addition to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- 5+ Years of Experience: Have at least 5 years of experience working with and riding horses, including a fundamental understanding of horse behaviors and psychology.
- Natural Lifemanship Certification: Hold a Natural Lifemanship certification, which is strongly preferred.
- Physical Ability: Be physically able to ride and handle horses weighing up to 2000 pounds and of various sizes.
- Lifting and Moving: Be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly and more, on occasion.
