We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide nursing care and monitoring to patients in a behavioral healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute care setting and be certified in CPR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing assessments and monitoring of adults and adolescents
- Obtain and enter orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from attending physicians
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
- Evaluate clients' nursing needs and develop treatment plans
- Provide guidance to behavioral health technicians in administering nursing care
- Coordinate client/patient staff assignments for patient care and documentation
- Lead teams in delivering patient care as a unit charge nurse
- Participate in peer review and disseminate information to staff
Requirements:
- Current Florida licensure as a registered professional nurse
- Knowledge base in psychotropic medications and mental health nursing
- Basic EMR computer skills
