Position Overview
The Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) Simulator Engineering (PSE) unit is a collaborative multi-site organization dedicated to the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training systems to enhance the Next Generation Training Program (NGTP).

Key Responsibilities
PSE is tasked with the development, testing, and final delivery of the internally-created PPTT systems, which include:

  • Simulated sound systems
  • Communication systems
  • Audio/video systems
  • I/O architecture

These systems will be integrated into a pioneering PPTT, revolutionizing Navy training methodologies for years to come.

Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an electrical engineer to contribute to these ongoing initiatives. Candidates with experience in audiovisual or telecommunications are highly preferred.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field with 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree in engineering or a related scientific field with 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience within the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Program
  • Familiarity with audiovisual and telecommunications systems
  • Ability to evaluate and create electrical designs based on established technical requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Creative thinking with proactive recommendations to management
  • Effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
