POSITION SUMMARY

The Guestroom Maintenance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of guest accommodations while delivering exceptional service to patrons. This position also involves maintaining the cleanliness of shared spaces within the establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work autonomously while adhering to task prioritization guidelines.
  • Ensure the security of keys by following established checkout protocols.
  • Change bed linens and prepare beds according to established standards.
  • Thoroughly sanitize and clean bathrooms, dust all surfaces, and clean mirrors, fixtures, and floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies as necessary.
  • Empty waste receptacles, clean ashtrays, and dispose of trash appropriately.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop all areas; dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Restock supplies such as glasses, linens, stationery, and bathroom amenities.
  • Maintain organized and well-stocked linen closets.
  • Complete daily housekeeping reports as required to ensure high-quality service.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to enhance guest satisfaction.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GUEST SATISFACTION
  • Uphold a high standard of personal appearance and uniform compliance.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests in a friendly manner.
  • Assist guests and team members with any requests in a courteous manner.
  • Execute other duties as assigned or requested by management.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
  • Report any suspicious activities involving guests, visitors, or staff.
  • Maintain security for guests and property by ensuring room doors are locked.
  • Perform duties in accordance with safety and security policies.
  • Comply with OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regularly engage in firm and simple grasping tasks.
  • Occasionally lift supplies weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Stand and walk throughout the workday; limited sitting is required.
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending are essential for all job functions.
  • Twisting at the waist, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling are required.
  • Good vision is necessary for effective performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is essential; experience with major hotel chains is advantageous.
  • Possess a friendly demeanor along with strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Exhibit good organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, particularly Windows-based software, is preferred.
