Key Responsibilities:
The Department of Neurology is expanding its clinical and translational research initiatives. It is actively engaged in both clinical and fundamental research, boasting nationally recognized programs in areas such as Neuroimmunology, Inherited Peripheral Nerve Diseases, Neuroimaging, Epilepsy, and Neurocritical Care.
There are numerous opportunities for collaboration with basic science departments and the Translational Neuroscience Institute.
We are currently looking for a subspecialist in Neuromuscular Diseases. The position is available at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level on a clinician educator track.
- Engage in research related to neuromuscular diseases, including clinical trials.
- Contribute to the educational programs within the Department of Neurology for medical students, residents, and Clinical Neurophysiology fellows.
- Participate in departmental conferences and seminars.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chair or designated representative.
Unique Duties:
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree is required.
- A valid Michigan medical license is necessary.
- Rank will be determined based on credentials.
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology or Neuromuscular Medicine by ABPN is required.
