CompensationThe estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on factors such as experience and location. We offer a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career, and retirement of our colleagues.
Job SummaryThe Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:
- Performing initial and ongoing physical and psychosocial assessment according to accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Assessing plans and evaluating patient care needs.
- Carrying out physician orders.
- Administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, monitoring vital signs.
- Participating in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives, and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
- Implementing nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducting and/or co-leading group therapy sessions for patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- A current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of employment start date.
- Recent RN experience in a hospital; Behavioral Health experience preferred.
