Job Overview
TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is seeking a skilled Inventory and Production Planner to join a leading food processing organization.

Role Responsibilities
The Inventory and Production Planner will oversee all facets of demand forecasting for raw materials and finished goods, inventory replenishment, and production scheduling.

This role encompasses the management and enhancement of relevant processes and protocols, including stock level oversight, material requirement planning, procurement strategies, and sequencing of products in the manufacturing workflow.

Collaboration and Improvement
The successful candidate will work closely with production and management teams to support ongoing improvement initiatives for all active products, including the introduction of new items and projects.

The ideal applicant will possess extensive experience in managing high-volume food components, advanced analytical skills, and a strong background in tracking, reconciling, and cost analysis.

Core Duties
The role will involve a hands-on approach to meet production objectives, including:

  • Overseeing supply and production planning, optimizing production schedules, and coordinating raw material requirements for established and new product lines.
  • Monitoring production yields and operational efficiency.
  • Demand forecasting for finished products.
  • Coordinating outbound logistics from the production facility to distribution centers or third-party storage.
  • Engaging regularly with sales, production, logistics, quality assurance, and finance teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Creating, maintaining, and presenting key performance metrics, reports, and standard operating procedures related to operations and production.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement in all planning activities and identifying cost and time-saving opportunities.
  • Managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods using ERP inventory management software.
  • Building vendor relationships, managing procurement timelines, issuing purchase orders, and overseeing inbound shipment logistics.
  • Reconciling invoices and warehouse discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Participating in and presenting information at production planning meetings.
