Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive work environment and advising management on various situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising management on employee relations issues, including performance coaching, employment regulations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Investigating and resolving workplace conflicts, harassment, and discrimination allegations.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including management, leadership, and external regulators.
  • Creating and implementing effective HR policies and procedures.
  • Managing assigned program areas, including background checks, business continuity, and employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of employee relations experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in handling employee relations issues, interpreting employment laws, and writing HR policies.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and FCRA.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
