Behavioral Support Specialist

Rudolph Community and Care is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing individualized support to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Functional Behavior Assessment: Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
- Behavior Support Plan Development: Collaborate with individuals to develop person-centered, positive behavior support plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Plan Distribution and Implementation: Distribute behavior support plans to individuals and their support teams, ensuring clear understanding and effective implementation.
- Evaluation and Modification: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support plans and modify them as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Training and Supervision: Provide training and supervision to support staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to implement positive behavior support strategies.
- Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 4,000 hours of post-master's supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the competency areas outlined in the job description.
- Licensing: Psychologist licensed under Minn. Stat. §148.88 to §148.98, or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, sit, and stand for prolonged periods; verbally communicate with others; and use motor skills for typing and utilizing computer and phone.
- Environmental Requirements: Works in an office environment with others on an ongoing basis.
- Ethical Considerations: Demonstrated commitment to ethical considerations in the delivery of clinical services.
- Functional Behavior Assessment and Analysis: Ability to conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments and analyze data to inform behavior support plans.
- Measurement and Interpretation of Behavior Data: Ability to collect, measure, and interpret behavior data to inform behavior support plans.
- Selection and Implementation of Intervention Strategies: Ability to select and implement effective intervention strategies to support individuals with complex needs.
- Person-Centered Thinking and Positive Behavior Support Strategies: Demonstrated expertise in person-centered thinking and positive behavior support strategies.
- Data Collection, Staff Training, and Support Plan Monitoring: Ability to collect data, train staff, and monitor support plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Treatment of Co-occurring Mental and Neurocognitive Disorders: Demonstrated expertise in treating co-occurring mental and neurocognitive disorders.
- Demonstrated Expertise with Relevant Populations: Demonstrated expertise in working with individuals with complex needs.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Possession of a Valid Driver's License and Maintenance of Vehicle Insurance: Possession of a valid driver's license and maintenance of vehicle insurance.
- Proficiency in Technology Use (Hardware and Software): Proficiency in using technology to support clinical services.
- Ability to Work Independently and Collaboratively: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and priorities.
