Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking an experienced Family Office Accountant to join our team. As a Family Office Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various financial and analytic processes for the owners of multiple businesses.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and review detailed account transactions, prepare special financial reports, and analyze account information.
  • Monitor cash flow, review and analyze daily cash transactions, and prepare various reports for cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare monthly invoices, coordinate payment processing, and record transactions.
  • Record and analyze all financial data for multiple real estate holdings.
  • Review General Ledger transactions and perform detailed account analysis/reconciliations.
  • Work with third-party property managers to oversee warehouse and tenant leasing.
  • Assist with bookkeeping and recordkeeping for various investment and family entities and trusts.
  • Support Senior Financial Analyst with various administrative and financial duties.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, particularly with real estate accounting and trusts.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and Word.
  • Ability to compose and present information in Excel.
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
