As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the operational aspects of our Property Tax practice. This includes managing the processing of property tax bills and assessment notices, handling correspondence, and conducting scanning tasks. Candidates should possess prior experience in independent research and analytical evaluations. The Senior Analyst will also support the Property Tax practice by maintaining software databases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reports. Your role will be pivotal in fostering positive experiences for team members, which in turn enhances client service and contributes to the firm's revenue and profitability.

  • Address client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.

  • Develop direct relationships with taxing jurisdictions to confirm assessment, tax bill, and deadline details.
  • Oversee compliance and filing requirements in collaboration with staff and management.
  • Receive, categorize, and sort all incoming mail daily.
  • Prepare tax documents for scanning and coordinate with international resources for processing as needed.
  • Utilize software databases to generate tax returns and identify general account setup issues.
  • Assist Lead Analysts and management in maintaining software databases, tracking assessments, appeals, and tax bills.
  • Ensure timely processing of tax bills and assessments, allowing sufficient time for client payment processing.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all client requests, establishing strong relationships.
  • Calculate tax savings and refunds for client invoicing, collaborating closely with consultants to monitor properties throughout the appeal and tax bill process, managing deadlines effectively.
  • Focus primarily on complex and/or large taxing jurisdictions.
  • Support the training of new Analysts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in property tax or related tax fields is essential. A general understanding of tax calendars is preferred.
  • A desire to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
Technical Skills:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet navigation and research. Familiarity with service-line software specific to the specialty area is also required.

Certificates and Licenses:

A valid driver's license is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
