Medical Specimen Collector

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at All Medical Allied. As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will play a critical role in the quantitative drug testing analysis performed by our client.

• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens
• Collect urine specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow departmental policies to correctly identify patients before specimen collection
• Properly label and document specimens and prepare for shipment
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
• Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population base
• Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines
• Inform supervisors of low volume shifts, unusual problems, or deviations from established procedures
• Maintain neat, clean, and orderly patient/work areas
• Order processing and office supplies as needed

The Medical Specimen Collector will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to multitask. The position involves frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting.
