We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Mountainlands Community Health Center Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-visit planning and preparation
  • Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs and health information
  • Obtaining and processing lab specimens
  • Assisting medical providers with exams and procedures
  • Documenting patient care and communication in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Maintaining equipment and sterilizing instruments

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant certification with completion of externship hours preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
  • Proof of current immunizations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA experience in an ambulatory clinic
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with EMR documentation

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
  • Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally helping lift/move patients as necessary

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Occasional travel to other sites for cross-coverage
