Job ResponsibilitiesThe Coax Splicer Technician is responsible for splicing coaxial cables in both aerial and underground settings.
Preferred Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telecommunications construction.
- Familiarity with various splicing techniques, cable types, and safety equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering designs and blueprints.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to enforcing company policies and safety standards.
- Capability to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Locate and rectify cable faults to maintain the integrity of the existing network.
- Oversee the complete service provisioning process for the cable network, including testing.
- Verify accurate cable terminations on cross-connects, patch panels, hubs, and routers.
- Understand and interpret construction prints and splice schematics.
- Lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds and push/pull similar weights.
- Work outdoors and be exposed to various environmental conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor and assist colleagues as needed.
