We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at O'Reilly Auto Parts. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the store team in providing exceptional customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs.
- Work with the Store Manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak business hours.
- Assist the Store Manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledgers to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
- Delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures and securing the building.
- Assist the Store Manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, and delivery vehicles.
- Sales Specialist Training
- Assistant Manager Certification
- RSS Certification
- Desirable: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification
