The Role

The Business & International Operations (BIO) team is responsible for creating new business units at Fora. As a Business Operations Lead, you will lead the end-to-end process from concept to execution, working within the BIO team and cross-functionally across the organization to launch and run a new business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities that align with Fora's core competencies and customer needs.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to assess market trends and potential challenges.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans and roadmaps for launching new business units, detailing strategic goals and key milestones.
  • Drive the execution of product and service launches by creating detailed project plans and coordinating cross-functional teams.

P&L

  • Take ownership of the P&L for the new business unit, managing revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team to support the growth and operational excellence of the new business unit.
  • Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the business unit's performance.
Requirements

Total Experience

  • Years of professional experience combining structured environments and entrepreneurial settings.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling or launching new business initiatives.

Communication

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Judgment

  • Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment in a rapidly evolving travel landscape.
  • Expertise in business operations, financial management, and strategic planning.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.

Compensation

Compensation range for this role can vary widely depending on experience, and for this role an indicative range is $140k - $180k + equity. Other benefits include unlimited vacation, health insurance, and stock options.
