We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Ned NoMad. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Main Responsibilities- Lead by Example: Oversee the back of house (BOH) operation, staffing, food production, and ensure that all culinary standards are met.
- Maintain Health and Safety Standards: Ensure that all Health and Safety standards are met, and that the kitchen is a safe and healthy environment for all staff.
- Establish Professional Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, and provide educational opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and Support Staff: Mentor and support staff in their roles, and provide guidance and feedback to ensure that they are meeting their full potential.
- Promote Consistent Process: Promote consistent processes and procedures throughout the kitchen, and ensure that all staff are following the same standards.
- Manage Staff Schedules: Manage staff schedules, payroll, and kitchen setup and breakdown.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced and professional environment.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience working as a Sous, Lead Line Cook, or Executive Sous in a high-volume restaurant.
- Leadership Skills: Proven success in leading a team and facilitating excellent communication and engagement.
- Team Focus: A team-focused individual with an understanding of the bigger picture and how they can contribute.
- Stakeholder Management: Able to effectively manage different stakeholders and be persuasive.
