Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our team at CarMax. As an Inventory Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily inventory tasks, including vehicle receiving, shipping, and scanning, to ensure accurate product status.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with the team to optimize processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure daily lot maintenance and security of the display areas and work-in-progress zones, adhering to CarMax 5S standards.
  • Secure and receive vehicles shipped to CarMax, preparing vehicle and title packets for shipping to other locations.
  • Complete scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate product status, and perform Photo Station process to capture high-quality images of vehicles.
  • Drive vehicles on and off lot for repairs/storage, and provide support to Auctions as needed.
Requirements
  • Current driver's license and meet CarMax DSEPS standards.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to execute processes as defined by work instructions and/or standardized work.
  • Complete Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications & Assigned Workday Learnings.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in an indoor and outdoor environment, with flexible work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will be required to walk or stand for extended periods in a high-energy, fast-paced working environment, adhering to CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards.
