Automation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at GKN Automotive. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation solutions using Rockwell and Siemens software
- Program and troubleshoot PLC programs, HMI, and Yaskawa/Motoman robots
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation projects and improve assembly cell efficiency or throughput
- Perform all controls engineering tasks required to troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade all existing equipment and data collection systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Advanced English language skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical circuits, control systems, and safety systems
- Proficiency with Rockwell and Siemens software
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
