Job Title: General Elementary Teacher

Join our team of dedicated educators as a General Elementary Teacher, responsible for creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic success for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective educational programs for assigned grade levels and subject areas, utilizing the required course of study and research-based instructional practices.
  • Utilize technology to enhance instruction and facilitate student learning, while modeling innovative use of technology for students.
  • Provide modifications for students with special needs, including exceptional education students and students with limited proficiency in English.
  • Establish routines and use behavior management procedures to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Participate in the administration of local and state testing, and use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.
  • Communicate high learning expectations for all students, and establish learning targets that align with real-world experiences.
  • Use techniques and strategies to enhance critical, creative, and evaluative thinking capabilities in students.
  • Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials and equipment.
  • Foster student responsibility, social behavior, integrity, and respect for self and others through role modeling and learning activities.
  • Supervise and/or assist with extracurricular and co-curricular activities as assigned.
  • Support school improvement initiatives through active participation in school activities, events, and programs.
  • Engage in personal professional growth, adhere to professional standards, and demonstrate professional ethics, sound judgment, and leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding student/school/workplace matters in accordance with state and federal law.
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement in areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain and submit required reports, records, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Properly care for equipment and material resources of the school system.
  • Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local laws.
  • Report absences and take leave in accordance with Board policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Professional Educator Certificate.
