About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Specialty Tech to join our team at Parkwest Medical Center. As a key member of our Heart Cath Lab, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures.
  • Measure and calculate cardiovascular parameters, including cardiac output, blood flow velocity, and cardiac electrophysiology parameters.
  • Operate electronic instruments and assist in all phases of catheterization procedures, including insertion of the catheter and calculation of hemodynamic data.
  • Provide patient assessment, monitoring, and sterile technique as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance and effective use of all equipment and supplies in the clinical areas.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience, including at least two years of professional Cath Lab experience.
  • Current registration as a CCI Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) and/or CCI Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) and/or ARRT RT(R) -- preferably with a VI or CI category designation.
