The Technical Support Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch support for AMI/AMR systems in three main utility markets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical Support: Provide software/hardware support for AMR/AMI systems, including phone and on-site support (as needed).
  • Operational Excellence: Handle technical service requests from various stakeholders, ensuring prompt resolution and high-quality service delivery.
  • Knowledge Management: Utilize the knowledge management tool within Salesforce to resolve customer issues efficiently.

This role requires travel up to 10% of the time for project support, field support issues, or internal training. Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities is also expected.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, network administration, or electrical engineering; or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate UNIX/Linux command line, MySQL, SQL, and basic SQL commands, as well as network troubleshooting.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and communication skills required for phone support, with a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
