Position Title: Transportation Construction Inspector – 1 (TCI-1)
Company: Mackin Engineers & Consultants
Role Summary:
- Conduct thorough inspections of roadways in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
- Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Execute field evaluations to assess work quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Document and report any inconsistencies or compliance issues identified during inspections.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve construction-related challenges.
- Maintain precise records of construction activities and inspection outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication with contractors and project team members.
- Analyze and interpret project plans and contractual documents.
- Engage in meetings, site visits, and project discussions to ensure alignment.
Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in construction inspection.
- High school diploma is required; a degree in civil engineering is advantageous.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, plans, and specifications is essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately report issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Capability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
