About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our Water Group in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will work on PWSA and ALCOSAN design and construction management projects, including water lines, sewer linings, and lead service line replacements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and experience with construction management software tools, e-builder preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • EIT.
  • Preferred: PE, experience with construction management software tools, e-builder preferred, experience with scheduling software, GIS/ESRI familiarity, experience with sewer or water lining or coatings, water or wastewater treatment plants.
