Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at the Department of Corrections. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide chairside dental assistance and office support services in our institution dental clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide chairside dental assistance and support services to dentists and hygienists
  • Chart patient records, maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and process radiographs
  • Prepare molds and models, clean and sterilize equipment, and provide patient care instructions
  • Manage appointments, patient records, and inventory
  • Stay current on dental assisting, dental materials, and office procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in dental assisting, including chairside assistance and expanded functions
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization techniques, and aseptic procedures
  • Ability to perform CPR and/or first aid to prevent loss of life and relieve suffering
