Job Title: Design Engineer for Stamping Dies

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. in Marysville, Ohio. As a Design Engineer for Stamping Dies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing stamping dies for our North American mass production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design new model stamping dies utilizing CAD software
  • Investigate improvements or countermeasure tooling related problems during die builds, trials, and mass production
  • Set processing for new model panels for manufacturability
  • Design Project Leader of stamping tools for new model projects
  • Follow and check in-house and supplier designs
  • Installation of stamping tools at North American plants
  • Investigate and implement business-related improvement items
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • At least 3 years of stamping or tooling design experience
  • CAD software experience
  • Mechanical/manufacturing knowledge
Work Environment:

This role will require 50% office environment and 40% manufacturing environment. You will be required to wear PPE at all times in the manufacturing environment and will be standing for prolonged periods (up to 8 hours). You may also be required to lift up to 40 pounds and work inside injection machines.
