Sephora, a leading beauty retailer in the US market, is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineering Director to drive enterprise transformation through AI/ML innovations. As a key member of our technology team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI/ML systems that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, machine learning, and leadership, with experience in architecting end-to-end ML/AI systems in an enterprise environment. You will be responsible for managing and executing AI/ML model operationalization across the enterprise, optimizing existing ML software systems, and developing reusable tools and automated processes to support development and deployment of ML systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute AI/ML model operationalization across the enterprise
  • Optimize existing ML software systems
  • Develop reusable tools and automated processes to support development and deployment of ML systems
  • Architect, build, maintain, and improve suite of new and existing AI/ML applications and systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in software/application engineering
  • 6+ years' experience developing and deploying machine learning systems into production
  • 5+ years' experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS) and associated ML services, including Databricks
  • 3+ years' experience architecting end-to-end ML/AI systems in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years' experience mentoring and managing ML engineers, data scientists, or core engineering talent
