Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide essential healthcare support to a first-grade student with specific medical needs. This role involves working closely with the student during school hours and on transportation to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
The nurse will be responsible for:
- Accompanying the student on the bus and throughout the school day.
- Monitoring and addressing the health needs of a student diagnosed with global developmental delay and cerebral palsy.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the student.
Work Schedule:
The working hours for this position are as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM
- Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Experience in pediatric nursing, especially with patients who have complex medical conditions.
- Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to maintain composure in emergency situations.
- A commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy standards.
