Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse will deliver professional nursing care to a designated group of patients, ensuring accountability and responsibility throughout the care process. This role involves collaborating with healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing assessments focusing on the physiological, psychological, and cognitive aspects of patient health.
- Develop and implement a prioritized, goal-directed care plan based on nursing diagnoses and expected patient outcomes.
- Deliver care in a consistent, knowledgeable, and skillful manner.
- Establish patient care priorities based on essential needs and available resources.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care and monitor patient progress towards outcomes.
- Identify and address the learning needs of patients and their significant others.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary functions to enhance patient care.
- Adhere to all compliance responsibilities associated with the role.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current RN license in the state of Connecticut
Preferred:
- One year of recent experience in medical/surgical nursing and oncology.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Evening/Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Significant manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to exert very heavy effort, potentially lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to various occupational hazards.
