We are looking for dedicated Medical Imaging Specialists to join our team at Interim HealthCare of Indianapolis. Our organization is currently staffing multiple healthcare facilities in the area, offering a variety of roles. We seek professionals who are proficient in operating CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, and/or MRI equipment. We have numerous contract opportunities available, with options for both day and night shifts, as well as full-time, part-time, and weekend schedules. A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is required. Please be aware that certain roles may necessitate the operation of both CT and X-ray machines. Compensation ranges from $48 to $63 per hour, subject to change based on contract specifics, position, and facility location.

Qualifications for the Medical Imaging Specialist

  • Current ARRT Certification and Indiana State (ISDH) Licensure.
  • ARDMS or ARRT credentials are acceptable for Ultrasound Technologists.
  • 1-2 years of recent and applicable experience, as mandated by the facility.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Capacity to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Skilled in taking vital signs and administering medications as necessary.
  • Active BLS certification, along with physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by the facility.

Duties of the Medical Imaging Specialist

  • Conduct CT, X-ray, or MRI scans on patients utilizing specialized equipment to generate high-quality images.
  • Prepare patients by identifying and assisting in the removal of any objects that may interfere with imaging procedures.
  • Clearly explain procedures and safety measures to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
  • Properly position patients to ensure alignment and provide necessary support for optimal imaging results.
  • Operate imaging machines and related equipment while monitoring and assessing patient conditions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Administer contrast agents as prescribed, following facility protocols and safety guidelines, and respond promptly to any adverse reactions.
  • Review all radiologic images for quality and completeness, collaborating with radiologists as needed.
  • Document all pertinent patient care information in an electronic medical record system.
