Network Infrastructure Specialist

Join FastWyre Broadband as a skilled Network Technician and contribute to the success of our company by installing, programming, testing, maintaining, and repairing central office equipment, transmission systems, and special circuits.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, test, and maintain central office equipment, transmission systems, and special circuits.
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining records, completing reports, and processing orders and trouble reports.
- Read and understand technical manuals and schematic drawings.
- Stay current with industry technology and learn IT functions and enhanced telecommunications technologies.
- Install, test, maintain, and repair advanced telecommunication services, such as FTTP/FTTH, DOCSIS, VDSL, T1/PRI, and VOIP.
- Perform basic installation, testing, maintenance, and repairs of carrier equipment and Cable Television headend equipment.
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning telecommunication services using computer applications and testing devices.
- Operate as a technical support to aid in resolving complex issues for internal employees.
- Associate's degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of related work experience in maintaining switches, routers, fiber optic cables, and other equipment at switching hubs or central offices.
- Valid driver's license.
- Preferred experience with hosted PBX and SIP networking.
The Network Technician will be required to:
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Reach outward and above shoulder level.
- Climb, crawl, squat, and bend.
- Keyboard and use computer applications.
- Drive and operate company vehicles.
- Work in various outdoor climates and terrain.
FastWyre Broadband offers a competitive hourly wage of $36.05-$40.86.
