We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Community Unit School District No. 308. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing therapy services to students with special education needs in the areas of language, speech, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat a variety of communication disorders, including articulations, phonology, receptive language, expressive language, fluency, voice, feeding/swallowing, and other related areas.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support students' goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure effective implementation of IEPs and provide support to students, teachers, and parents.
  • Maintain accurate records and data to track student progress and growth.
  • Educate teachers, staff, and parents on the role of the Speech Language Pathologist and provide training on best practices in speech and language therapy.
Requirements
  • A valid Illinois Professional Education License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
  • ASHA CCC's highly recommended.
  • A valid license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) in the area of Speech Language Pathology.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding special education and speech language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
