About the Position:

The Deputy University Auditor provides operational leadership and supervision of a high-quality, coordinated, risk-based internal audit program which provides university executives and Board members with assurance related to university governance, risk management, and control processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs, leads, supervises, and performs high-quality, coordinated, risk-based internal audits which evaluates university governance, risk management, and control processes.
  • Develops Office of University Audit talent through recruiting, and providing performance management, experiential development, and training.
  • Monitors university business processes and activities to evaluate risks in support of maintaining a current university-wide audit universe and audit risk assessment.
  • Oversees the performance of, and in some cases conducts and coordinates investigations related to allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated successful experience leading teams providing risk-based audit programs, risk-based auditing services, and/or risk advisory services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small, high-performing teams, including setting clear, aligned goals; coaching and supporting for superior performance; and providing feedback for talent development and continuous improvement.
