Job Title: Portfolio Manager III

Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager III is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in credit and risk administration. This position involves exercising sound judgement and applying best practices to ensure the integrity of the portfolio and sustain profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain Service Level Agreements, regulatory compliance requirements, and credit risk profiles and profitability.
  • Protect and preserve the integrity of the pooled or individual portfolio while sustaining profitability, accurately assessing and managing risk, and managing the annual review process.
  • Analyze portfolio relationships with reasonable involvement from the Relationship Manager.
  • Prepare financial models, credit memorandums, and apply credit policies to various situations.
  • Effectively track and monitor financial reporting requirements and review Borrowing Base certificates.
  • Use best practices to provide loan recommendations based on a review of all underwriting criteria for final approval.
  • Exercise adherence to internal portfolio/underwriting processes, including timely and accurate data entry to Vikar and/or other centralized systems, and maintaining high-quality file documentation in a paperless environment.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

Essential Functions:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will constantly be ascending and descending, moving about, and lifting and raising objects. Occasionally, this position requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds in the course of a day. This position will incur installing, operating, and handling technical equipment such as personal computers, printers, and servers on a daily basis. The employee will exchange information and communicate instructions to others. The employee will view and operate a computer terminal during sedentary work.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of banking experience and commercial credit
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with credit policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates the ability to coach, lead, and motivate
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good oral written communication skills
  • Knowledge of software/systems required to successfully perform job function
  • Must be a Vikar Subject Matter Expert
  • Proven history of managing high-volume workflows
