Job Overview

Crisis Preparation and Recovery Inc is seeking a skilled Outpatient Counselor for First Responders to join our team. This role is responsible for providing professional behavioral health services to first responders, aiming to decrease the impact of behavioral health disorders and other emotional disturbances.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the first responder population and excellent communication skills to work with clients. They will also possess strong clinical skills to diagnose and treat behavioral health issues, as well as specific training and understanding of various trauma theories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry a full-time caseload and provide onsite consultation, triage, wellness checks, CISM interventions, and post-critical incident evaluations when needed.
  • Determine client service needs by assessing individual clients' level of functioning, behavioral health symptoms, and history.
  • Determine diagnosis and treatment needs and develop individualized client treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the Public Safety and Outpatient team to ensure clinical needs are met.
  • Provide referrals, coordinate access to higher levels of care, and case management.
  • Work closely with external Public Safety Agency teams.

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted license issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC, Ph.D, or Psy.D.
  • Documented post-master's experience for two years, including experience within the past 24 months providing Outpatient counseling services.
