Job Title: Senior Architect

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Architect to join our Mission Critical / Commercial / Higher Ed Studio in Denver. This role offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth, with a wide range of project responsibilities and team leadership roles.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide project team leadership and coordination for finished plans, specifications, and material selections.
  • Mentor and lead teams in the production of accurate technical and contract documentation for project construction.
  • Mentor and lead construction administration duties, including bid review and support, site visits, addressing technical issues, and improving quality during construction.
  • Work with government and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project schedule and objectives.
  • Manage, mentor, and recruit talent, including resources to produce 3D software renderings and critical presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
  • 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Expert attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.

  • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed architectural documents and specifications.

Compensation:

The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000-$175,000, based on a number of factors, including individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.
