Position Summary

The Dog Stop is in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Engagement Specialist to enhance our presence in Marietta. This role is not confined to an office; it is an active, field-based position aimed at forging connections with individuals, businesses, residential complexes, veterinarians, and more. Your time will be primarily spent in the community, visiting dog parks, participating in local events, and directly interacting with dog owners to showcase our offerings. Only a small fraction of your time will be allocated to office tasks; the majority will be dedicated to community engagement. Please note, this role does not involve social media or traditional marketing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent and promote The Dog Stop at community events, trade shows, dog parks, and other local activities.
  • Engage with dog owners and the surrounding community to enhance brand recognition and loyalty.
  • Distribute promotional materials and provide insights about our services.
  • Establish relationships with local businesses, residential complexes, veterinarians, and others to foster referral partnerships.
  • Collaborate with management to create and execute promotional initiatives.
  • Collect feedback from clients to enhance our services and marketing strategies.
  • Report on activities and outcomes to management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Flexible availability, with a willingness to work primarily evenings and weekends.
  • A passion for dogs and a solid understanding of canine care services.
  • A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pet care sector.
  • Prior experience in marketing, sales, or a related field.
