About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Second Life mobile viewer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting new systems, mentoring staff, and managing a small team to bring the mobile viewer to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the Second Life mobile viewer, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small team of engineers
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the mobile viewer
  • Perform code reviews, implement automated test frameworks, and ensure proper testing and QA processes are followed
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for future development
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, including mobile development and technical leadership
  • Modern web, game, C#, and Unity development experience
  • Familiarity with game networking, UDP/TCP
  • A track record of leading teams and shipping successful projects
  • Earnest interest in learning new technologies
  • History of working with cloud-based computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Great communication, awareness, self-motivation, and collaboration attributes
