About the Job

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking a talented Pharmacist to join our clinical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medications for our patients.

Responsibilities
  1. Medication Order Management: Accurately interpret and manage medication orders to ensure patient safety and quality care
  2. Dispensing and Compounding: Prepare and dispense medications, including injectable sterile products, as needed
  3. Collaboration with Healthcare Practitioners: Provide timely and informative guidance to healthcare practitioners on medication use and management
  4. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pharmacy activities and patient data
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with current licensure and registration in New York State. A minimum of 2 years' experience in hospital settings and completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy residency or equivalent training are preferred.

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
