Job Summary

Covenant Logistics Group is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler II to join our warehouse operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods throughout the warehouse and distribution center.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that goods are stored and retrieved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Supply Chain Support: Assist in the supply of production areas with product and the removal of finished goods from work areas to maintain operational standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality and report any issues to mitigate problems and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Warehouse Operations: Perform tasks associated with moving goods from point to point, including sorting, processing, and packing materials.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately record and document inventory movements, product quality issues, and other relevant information to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of warehouse experience and prior forklift operation experience required.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a highly organized and color-coded environment, excellent teamwork skills, and ability to read labels and numbers.
  • Certifications: Ability to complete forklift training provided by the industry with annual updates and retraining.
