Position Summary:
As a Sputter Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of specialized tools within a Media manufacturing production line, all while adhering to the standards of a class 100 cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, show initiative, and collaborate effectively with team members. A strong willingness to learn, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance according to established schedules and Manufacturing Maintenance Manual (MMM) procedures for assigned equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance activities and document unscheduled repairs in the tool logbook.
  • Diagnose and resolve routine equipment failures, identifying root causes and applying appropriate down codes to enhance Mean-Time Between Failure (MTBF).
  • Utilize the Resource Viewer and Forum Notes systems to document maintenance activities and track equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with Shift Managers, Leads, and Equipment Engineers to enhance preventive maintenance efficiency, tool availability, and overall quality.
  • Provide technical training and certification for maintenance staff.
  • Assist Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers in developing and refining preventive maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Electronics or relevant experience in the Semiconductor industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Vacuum Technologies.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms and capability to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Forum Notes.
  • Effective team player with strong relationship-building and communication skills across various functions.
  • Familiarity with control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control).
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge in Equipment Maintenance.
  • Experience with Vacuum Sputtering and Lean systems.
