Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team at Geisinger Health. This part-time RN opportunity comes with a competitive minimum hiring rate of $40.00 and offers up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish patient care plans according to unit standards and scope of practice.
  • Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide individualized patient care plans as established in unit standards, including patient education, family needs, and discharge planning during hospitalization in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Deliver direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to address patient needs and proactively resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding evidence-based practice utilization.
  • Promote teamwork by actively participating in goal-oriented activities and being accountable for unit and system metrics.
  • Prioritize patient quality and safety education, participating in programs designed to enhance departmental and organizational quality and safety.
