Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a dynamic team at Jobot as a Sheet Metal Technician. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling sheet metal components and subassemblies for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare components and subassemblies, including alignment, fitting, trimming, forming, and pre-assembly, in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble components and subassemblies using various types of stainless steel alloys, nickel-based alloys, commercial pure titanium, and aluminum alloys.
  • Maintain certification to work with these materials and weld types.
  • Perform x-ray inspection and ensure that all welds meet engineering requirements.
  • Work with close tolerances and prepare components using tooling and shop aids.
  • Develop and implement shop aids to increase efficiency and throughput of weldment assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Train other employees in preparation and welding techniques.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and workmanship.
  • Perform routine duties and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to work with close tolerances and maintain certification to work with various materials and weld types.
  • Experience with x-ray inspection and ability to perform welds to engineering requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
