Job Title: Regional Accounting Lead

MEI Rigging & Crating is a leading provider of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Accounting Lead to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading the regional office accounting process, including Accounts Receivable invoicing and support, Accounts Payable, project accounting, and job costing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, proper coding, collections, and reducing AR aging days.
  • Lead project accounting efforts, utilizing software to track job costing and utilization data, with a focus on margin analysis.
  • Support job-related AP processes, including purchasing and credit cards, procurement coding, timely processing of vendor invoices, internal financial controls, and maximizing vendor discounts.
  • Work with project managers to ensure they have the data needed to effectively manage their projects.
  • Understand the entire company operations process from quote to invoice, including coordination of and recommendations for process improvement.
Requirements:
  • Accounting degree or combination of education and experience demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of CCIP, ROCIP, and certified payroll/prevailing wages.
  • Knowledge of AIA forms and customer progress billings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills.
