Job Summary

The National Guard Employment Network is seeking a highly skilled Business Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the USGS - Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center. The successful candidate will work closely with the administrative staff to provide data entry services, customer service, and support with budget and finance, procurement, property, and travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with budget and finance, procurement, property, and travel using automated systems.
  • Assist with property inventory, including creating and tracking property disposal requests.
  • Respond to general inquiries, including receiving visitors and answering phone and email inquiries.
  • Evaluate documents for compliance, including reviewing bankcard statements and travel information.
  • Provide general support, including maintaining inventory of office supplies, preparing spreadsheets and reports, and maintaining office records.
Requirements
  • Two or more years' experience performing business support functions, including financial and budget, procurement, property and equipment management, travel, and customer service.
  • Proficient interpersonal communication skills and fundamental computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and knowledge of general business practices.
  • An Associate's degree in Business/Business Administration or a Bachelor's degree in Business/Business Management, or equivalent knowledge and work experience.
