  • Equipment Management: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, ordered, and delivered as needed.
  • Permitting and Inspections: Ensure that all necessary permits are obtained and inspections are completed in a timely manner.
  • Service Job Review: Review completed service job work orders to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Parts and Equipment Ordering: Assist with the ordering of parts and equipment, and compile job quotes as needed.
  • Hands-on Servicing: Perform hands-on servicing and repair of refrigerant-based systems.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers with site inspections, scheduling, and quotes.
  • Truck Stock Updates: Make periodic updates to truck stock levels.
  • Special Equipment: Confirm the availability of lifts or special equipment for site use.
Requirements
  • HVAC Journeyman Trade License: Possess a valid HVAC journeyman trade license.
  • Management Experience: Have management experience in a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess technical expertise and working knowledge in commercial HVAC equipment, including split systems, ductless systems, gas-fired heating equipment, exhaust fans, and ductwork installation.
  • Troubleshooting: Have the ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment.
  • Safety Knowledge: Possess knowledge of company, local, state, and federal safety and OSHA requirements.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to perform jobsite visits, accessing equipment in remote or elevated locations by ladder or other means.
  • Installation Assessment: Be able to assess installations to ensure code requirements and job specifications are met.
  • Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Counseling and Training: Be able to counsel and train service technicians in proper techniques and strategies.
  • Emergency Response: Be available to direct and assist with emergency repairs.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's auto policy.
  • Physical Ability: Be able to physically assist with HVAC system equipment installation.
